Dragonflys Painting Original Sold! - Family Heritage Home as Museum

Dragonflys SoldO
Just a note to post a new owner of one of my original paintings!! The Dragonfly original painting has been sold to an art
collection, Ms. Laura Ann Rau of Columbus, Texas. I am very pleased that I received this great news this past week.
It is an honor, Ms. Rau has a major collection of original fine art in her home and has been an avid lover of art for many years.
I was born and raised in Columbus, Texas and to have one of my originals in her home was a true honor and delight.
The print will also have a line of edition prints as they are bought, but the original has been sold.
Near the town of Columbus, Texas is another special place called La Grange, Texas. There is a Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center there with many 'outdoor museum' homes and buildings. I am proud to say that our family heritage home is one of the homes in the actual museum. It was the home of my great-grandfather, Frank Hluchanek. He imigrated to the United States in 1881 to Texas from Frenstat Moravia. And they were textile weavers by craft for many generations. Frenstat, Moravia was one of the main areas in Europe at the time that had a significantly great amount of fine weaving of textiles and supplied many cities in the European areas. The Texas home is on display, and for more information about it follow it at the below weblink!

My most painting I am working on, "The Stars are Bright..." will have the home in it as part of the subject matter.
Once I do recover with my hand convalescence from surgery's about four years ago, I hope to complete this new painting first and continue to paint and do photography.
Take care, and have a great upcoming spring 2018!
Warmer weather should be coming hopefully very soon.
Sincerely,
Vickey Hluchanek-Monan
